We are a major partner in the management of desktop or point of sale deployment
and refresh programs. Such programs vary in scale substantially from a
few hundred seats to nationwide programs involving many thousands of seats
extending over several years.
Delivering a project successfully requires planning, procedures, infrastructure
and communication. Every asset must be tracked, systems and procedures
agreed and followed through. We provide the hub in the flow of information
ensuring that the right equipment is prepared in the right way and delivered
at the correct time and place. To manage large scale programs, we have
developed a methodology using Microsoft Sharepoint whereby RoadRunner
is driven automatically by a sequenced master schedule which triggers
events such as “pick-to-technical centre”.
Unitrans’ technical courier and field engineering resources will
deliver and locate to desk as well as support a lead engineer to install
or perform a full installation, as required. Working to scripts provided
by the client or developed by our own trainers we ensure that the quality
of work is consistent and fully conformant to the client’s requirements.
We are able to configure product to “site”, “user group”
or to a seat-specific configuration before packing and delivery. We understand
the importance of minimising disruption to the client’s business
and commonly perform installation work outside normal working hours. Alternatively
we can provide a managed facility service for customers themselves to
complete this work in our configuration centres.
Unitrans’ projects are managed on our systems from which a comprehensive
suite of reports may be generated directly or via the Relativity reporting
tool.
We have carried out roll-outs for most of the “Big Four” banks,
including entire front-counter refreshes. In retail we have installed
a full range of point-of-sale equipment including “chip and pin”
products for several major retailers.
